Schiplifts
with a docklength of 20 - 100 meter

schepenlift model 2

For crossing waterways with roads or to connect different levels of water the shiplift is useful. The by Van Driel Mechatronica BV developed and patented shiplift is an alternative for a ship lock. The water-filled dock of the shiplift is hanged on pivots. The dock rides on two supporting beams. These beams cross on different level roads or other obstacles and connect the different waterlevels. The dock is electronic controllable driven and safed against swinging. The dock-length can vary between 20 and 100 meter. The hollow supporting beams can be used to watertransport and energy generation. Without water in the dock ships can be transported on air-inflatable bellows.
